Frequently Asked Questions
How does the anti-slip treatment actually work?
Unlike a thick coating that sits on top, our treatment works at a microscopic level. It creates thousands of “micro-pores” on the tile surface. When the floor is wet, these pores act like tiny suction cups, significantly increasing the grip between your feet (or footwear) and the floor.
Will it change the appearance or color of my tiles?
In 95% of cases, the treatment is completely invisible. It is not a “film” or a “paint,” so it won’t peel or discolor. On certain high-gloss or very dark tiles, there might be a very slight reduction in shine, but the color and pattern remain exactly the same.
How long does the anti-slip effect last?
For residential toilets and bathrooms, one professional application typically lasts between 3 to 5 years, depending on foot traffic and cleaning habits. In commercial settings like restaurants or gyms, we recommend a touch-up every 1–2 years.
Can this be applied to any type of tile?
It works exceptionally well on most mineral-based surfaces, including ceramic, porcelain, granite, marble, and mosaic tiles. If you have a specific or unusual floor type (like wood or vinyl), we have different coating solutions specifically designed for those materials.
How long after the treatment can I use my toilet/bathroom?
There is zero downtime. As soon as the application is finished and the floor is rinsed, you can walk on it immediately. This makes it a much faster and more convenient alternative to replacing tiles or applying epoxy coatings.
Does the treated floor require special cleaning?
No special chemicals are needed, but we do recommend avoiding wax-based cleaners, as these can fill the “micro-pores” and reduce the anti-slip effectiveness. Standard floor cleaners and a good rinse are all you need to keep the grip working perfectly.
Is the treatment safe for bare feet and pets?
Yes, absolutely. The treatment is non-toxic and skin-safe once rinsed. It feels no different to walk on when dry, but you will notice the “lock-on” grip the moment your feet (or your pet’s paws) hit the surface when it’s wet.
Is this better than using rubber mats?
Rubber mats often trap hair, soap scum, and bacteria underneath, which can lead to mold and odors. Our treatment covers the entire floor area, including the corners, providing a more hygienic, permanent, and aesthetically pleasing safety solution without the trip hazard of a mat.
